How to remove Adobe Flash Player fake pop-ups

While surfing the internet, you can come across pop-ups, asking to update a flash player to the latest version. There are two possible ways how to act. If you’re a net novice, you’re sure to fall for it without hesitation.

Adobe Flash Player

If you’re an experienced net user or just you have got an intuition guiding you in the right way unfailingly, you may feel something wrong and there is a good reason for it: the site you look through isn’t related with updating at all. It sounds similar to you, doesn't it? We aren’t going to beat around the bush! Our today's topic is a flash player virus and ways of telling a fake version from the true one.

It refers to the group of adwares. What it wants is to persuade you into downloading possibly infected versions of the original application. It tries to achieve its goal by asking to update a flash player to the latest version.

Adobe Flash Player

You may be interested in how to learn when your flash player really needs upgrading or when it's just a fake alarm. These are rules you should be guided by to save your flash player from an unnecessary updating:

  • Firstly, never accept any offers to update your flash player, which appear on the site having no relation to it. Here is an example from everyday life, which will help you to understand what is meant and will be kept in your mind for long: If your flat needs some renovation, obviously, you go to the shop which is specialized only in construction materials. You rush around the shop in the search of some wallpaper and come across fruits on the shelves. It seems strange, doesn’t it? They must sell in the greengrocer’s, don’t they? Will you buy them? No. The same situation repeats with updating a flash player on an unrelated site.
  • Secondly, always check the URL name of the source before updating. If you need to update, do it with the help of the official distributer.
  • Thirdly, always pay attention to the design: a fake version is different from the true one.

If it manages to get inside your device, you should get rid of it immediately. It brings you nothing but the waste of your time and nerves. It constantly reroutes you to sites you’ve never wanted to visit and starts to impose different products to buy.

There are two possible ways of getting inside your pc: through updating the flash player or installing other sofwares. For example, the PUP can be bundled with other applications. That’s why you should keep an eye during the installation and always choose «Custom» or «Advanced» options.

If this pup has managed to take you by surprise, delete it as soon as possible. You can do it manually or with help of an anti-spyware program.
