How to remove unwanted software from different operating systems

Malicious software is the eternal problem of everyone who uses the Internet. The worst affected by the infection are computers used by several people. Due to the different users are likely to have different preferences, different levels of responsibility, and visit different sites - the computer will be quickly clogged with all sorts of adware, viruses, and redirects. The most important thing in this case is to determine that the computer is infected. Infection occurs gradually, and many users simply get used to a slower, periodically turning off the computer, assuming that this is normal. To see whether your computer is infected, it is necessary to analyze the state of PC on several criteria.

The first criterion is the operability of computers and basic programs. If your computer shuts down or restarts without your permission, programs make critical errors, or do not run at all - this means that your computer is infected.

The second criterion is the extraneous information while using the software and web-surfing. Licensed program will never annoy the user by spamming, unwanted messages, requesting to disable anti-virus and so on. Similarly, trusted websites do not use spam and hype for their promotion, and use more humane ways to attract customers. If you get a large number of outside advertising information when working at the computer - it means your computer is infected with adware.

And finally, the third criterion is a speed of the system. For many users, aging and spoilage devices is quite a common thing. Such a user will not find it suspicious, that his computer, that was purchased half of a year ago, begins to work twice as slow. In fact, the slowdown in the boot and a large response time of major programs can be caused by overcrowding or hard disk, equipment flaws, or malicious software. Therefore, if your computer has lots of free space on a hard drive, but it is still slower than usual – you have a viral problem.

If you’ve detected a virus, you should immediately remove it from your computer, because every day it will be more and more of them, until one day the operating system and the computer itself will suffer irreparable harm. Removal of unwanted software, can be done in two main ways. These ways are manual and automatic. Manual technique is to remove all unwanted programs from your hard drive by hand. This method is reliable and relatively simple to perform, for those who know where to look for unwanted programs. However, for someone who has no idea where the malicious files are, how they may be called, and how to perform the removal, this method can be too complicated. In all versions of Windows, the manual removal method is performed almost the same way, but for convenience we will show ways for each OS separately.

Once installed, it will scan your computer, find all viruses and remove them after consulting with you about the controversy or conditionally harmful files. Such process, of course, is much easier and effective, than manual removal, because of its implementation user does not need additional knowledge.

If these methods do not help, or a computer is brought in such state, that it is impossible to install an antivirus program, or it just does not turn on - the only way to clear it is to use the services of a special company engaged in the repair of computers and their cleaning.
